DEVELOPING WINNING ATTITUDE

Mind is stronger than the body. A body is strong but our mind is fragile. Therefore developing mental toughness is the first thing every individual should try. As mind controls the body, controlling the mind controls everything. So, what is mind? Is it our attitude? Is it something that talks to you every time? How is mind suppose to make somebody a winner?

Though there are not many answers to the questions, some answers are already found. Developing a winning attitude is about mental training. Passion is one factor that makes a person a winner. How? A passion is an extreme love or desire for something. Once you have the passion, you have the way. Obstacles become enjoyable once a passion is present. Go for your passion despite others point of view.

A passion asks for an energetic body. A weak body is sick, nothing good comes out of it. What is winning attitude? Its not asking for approval, approval is a bonus. There is a case in a chess game where one player has the better position. He didn't know how to win the position, so offered his opponent a draw. His opponent accepted gladly and ask for a reason why he did that to him. He replied, a draw is a good result for me against you. At that moment his opponent was happy but in the long run his opponent felt flattered and loses respect for him. This is not winning attitude.

Fighting spirit is vital in day to day life. Fighting in a worse position to keep the game alive requires character, mental toughness etc. When Julius Caesar was captured by pirates and asked for a ransom of 50 thousand coins, he told them he's worth more than 50 coins and doubled the prize. We saw the attitude of the great Roman general. It's a fine example.

Imagine a situation where somebody asks you something valuable and you gave that thing instantly to him with a confident smile on your face. What impression do you make on that guy? That guy was impressed, what a generous guy I am facing right now he asked himself. What's the consequence? He dared not take the thing due to personal insecurities and with a humbled gesture make you realized that you deserved the thing more than him and refuse to take.

Winning attitude is the state of mind where you are in the position never to compromise for something lower than your true self. Its not about showing off, its not about defeating some one weaker openly and publicly, its about knowing your true value under difficult times by believing in yourself.
