HOU YIFAN THE BEST FEMALE CHESS PLAYER

There is something about Hou Yifan that I would like to share on this post. She was born on 27 february, 1994. She is a chinese prodigy but that's obvious and I won't talk about it. The picture showed Hou Yifan playing against Champion Anna Ushenina from Ukraine which she won convincingly.

Recently, Mariya Muzychuk the younger sister of GM Anna Muzychuk won the Women's knock out world chess championship 2015 defeating the Russian heartthrob Natalia Pogonina in the final. Both Hou Yifan and Mariya Muzychuk would square off later this year in a match. The winner of that match would be the undisputed champion.

The reason that I believe Hou Yifan is the best female chess player came from the fact that her game is on a different level which is reflected by her performance, rating and title.

At the moment, she sits on 2686 surpassing Judith Polgar's current 2675 from Hungary. Judith Polgar was rated 2735 on october 2005, the peak in her career ranked world number 8th at that time. But now she's retired and focused on chess development.

Hou Yifan is 21 years old and still improving with that without proper coach or trainer either past or present. She is on her own. When you look at female chess player, the second highest rated is Koneru Humpy from India rated 2581 exactly 105 rated points behind. This is a domination. The only doubt remains whether she would continue to focus on chess or not.

If she continues to do so, she should most likely think about that 2735 by Judith Polgar ranking 8th in the world which includes Gary Kasparov at number one, Viswanathan Anand at number two and Vladimir Kramnik at number seven. They were all Champions. That won't be an easy task given the scenario of present day men's chess.

For the moment, I am looking forward to Hou Yifan vs Mariya Muzychuk world championship match later this year.
