HOW TO IMPROVE CHESS III

Beware of bullet chess!!
Chess improvement comes with playing but choosing the right game format is crucial. One of the well known misconceptions held by quite a lot of chess players is the benefit of playing bullet chess. Beware of bullet chess because it does nothing for your chess improvement.

If a student desirous of excelling in the game simply known as chess, he/she should by all means stay away from bullet chess. Its a trap and the sooner you got this, the better for you. When I was playing above 5000 bullet games online, my skill remains the same or a little worse than before plus lots of energy/time wasted, left not enough strength to practice afterwards. The only thing that I experienced was fun because it was nerve wrecking and often addictive. This addiction is one of the worst. Winning by a fraction of a second when my opponent sometimes had a queen, rook etc with a single pawn on my side. Isn't it ridiculous?

Kramnik said britz is a complete lottery in one of his interviews. Fischer said britz kills ideas. Remember both were champions and they mean britz which is 5 minutes minimum. What about bullet, its 1 or 2 minutes game. If britz is already that harmful, only your commonsense will tell you exactly how harmful is bullet. Kramnik and Fischer knew what they were talking. There are some people who praises bullet and held it with utmost respect. So, do a research on who said bullet helps chess and you will find out that they are bullet addicts who only cares about fun and entertainment, who rarely make themselves felt in the chess world, who only tries to promote chess for their own selfish gain.

Bullet is a totally different chess. Fast means win here. Chess is a thinking game. It takes time to think and come up with something genuine. Chess is about finding out the ultimate truth by analysis. We know this cannot be done in a jiffy like bullet. Therefore, play bullet at your own risk.
